established in early 2004, the aorta journal is an unorthodox sound research group dedicated to the further development of modern extreme/experimental music. taking their name from a norwegian journal which compares pagan culture with black metal, the group itself is a similar ceremony of opposites, combining elements of many styles of sound to create an ever changing canvas of frenzied noise and a state of barely controlled chaos.

Hymns To Summon the Plague is one of the most eclectic metal albums thats ever blasted out of any speakers to date. The now defunct Aorta Journal had a talent of channeling six at least different influences and styles to then produce the some of the most vicious metal songs ever.. This metal band flirted with spazz, doom, and noise for as long as she could handle the ride.
